Double-Layer Roll Former

Choose two of our available profiles on a single footprint. The RX-DL36 stacks two forming decks in one heavy 350H welded frame, allowing your shop to run two different profiles from one machine and switch between them without the need for two separate machines.

Features

Built for Performance

Two profiles, one machine, one operator

The upper and lower decks are configured to form the two panel profiles you choose for your operation. A clutch interlock means only one deck can drive at a time, which protects the drive train and keeps a single operator from ever running coil into both decks. Changeover is a matter of moving the coil, not the tooling.

Rollers that hold their edge

Forming rollers are machined from 1045-equivalent steel and hard-chrome plated to 3 mm. That plating is what keeps painted Galvalume from scuffing at the rib and what keeps the roll profile true after a few hundred thousand feet. Rollers ride on solid keyed shafts in a 350H welded steel frame, the same class of frame you see on domestic machines at twice the price.

Batch control in inches

The PLC and touchscreen let you load a cut list, set quantity and length per line, and walk away. Read-outs are in inches and feet, and the interface supports multiple languages for a mixed crew. Manual jog and E-stops are at the operator station and at the exit.

Clean cuts, no scratches

A hydraulic post-shear and pre-shear with quenched CR12MOV blades provide clean, accurate cuts. The pre-shear allows the final piece to be cut before entering the machine, helping reduce material waste, while the post-shear cuts the finished panel after it has been fully formed. Rubber-faced infeed rollers with adjustable side guides and protective strips help protect the painted surface from coil to run-out table.

Double-Layer Roll Former Spec Sheet

  • Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the difference between the available panel profiles?

Roll Worx offers multiple panel profiles to meet different roofing and building applications. Your Double-Layer Roll Former can be configured with two available profiles based on your production needs.

Why buy a double-layer machine instead of two single machines?

Floor space and power. One frame, one hydraulic unit, one manual decoiler, and one control panel serve both profiles. If your operation needs to produce two different profiles but does not require two separate production lines, a double-layer machine provides both capabilities in a single footprint.

How fast does it produce panels?

Up to 65 feet per minute in continuous running. In practice, a 20-foot panel takes about 20 to 25 seconds including the shear cycle. A crew of two can comfortably run 200 to 300 panels in a shift.

Can I run it on single-phase power?

No. The 10 HP main motor and hydraulic unit require 3-phase service. Shops without 3-phase can use a rotary phase converter sized for the combined load, but we recommend a utility 3-phase drop or a properly rated transformer. Ask us and we will spec it for your building.

What is included in the price?

Your machine includes a 10,000 lb. (5-ton) manual decoiler, along with on-site startup and training to help you get up and running with confidence. Freight to your location is not included and will be quoted separately based on your delivery location.

    What gauge can it run?

The machine is configured to run 29–24 gauge material, depending on the selected profile and customer specifications.
